At the same time, he noted that the cost of housing, commercial rents, and traffic congestion and the impact of the post-pandemic hybrid work model all are challenges.
When asked about the repurposing of existing office buildings and applications to convert approved-but-not-yet built office buildings for residential use, including for increasing the stock of affordable housing, Hoskins stated that he believed that the trend will continue at a reasonable pace to meet the continuing demand for housing in the County.
