After briefly working on the hill in the fall of 2002, I worked as a lobbyist for the United Jewish Communities (now known as the Jewish Federations of North American), Independent Sector, and for ACE (since September 2007).

I have been a member of the MCA since 2019.
4) How long have you been active in the MCF?
I have been a member of the MCF Board since 2019.
5) What is the value of being an MCA member?
I see membership as a way to support the work of the MCA.
6) Why did you join MCF? Become a member of its Board?
I viewed service on the MCF Board as a way to contribute to the good work of the MCF supporting charitable efforts in helping build a richer and more vibrant McLean. I currently serve as the MCF president, served as its Vice-President, Chair of its Grants and Nominations Committees, and as a member of our Ad Hoc Covid-19 Committee. In addition, I’ve been involved in efforts to modernize our By-Laws.
7) What is the value of contributing to the MCF?
It is way for donors to ensure that their charitable gifts have a positive impact on McLean area non-profits engaged in a range of activities from education, parks, the environment, seniors, the arts, and helping our neighbors in need.
8) What particular MCF projects are most beneficial to the residents?
Our grant making efforts which support an array of local causes - from education, parks, the environment, seniors, the arts, and vulnerable neighbors in need –all toward helping build a richer and more vibrant McLean.
9) How would you like to see the MCF expand its services and its fundraising?
This year we’re committed to enhancing our charitable giving options including by implementing a planned giving option for donors to designate gifts to the MCF in their wills as well as working with McLean partners like the MCA to enhance current giving by working to broaden our donor base. In addition, we’re committed to enhancing and building on our engagement with key McLean area community entities all in an effort to work toward a more vibrant, connected McLean.
