Member Spotlight - Debbie Matz

Q - What is your professional/work and educational background?

A - I have a BS from Cornell University and an MA from George Washington University.  I worked on Capitol Hill for many years and most recently was Chairman of the National Credit Union Administration, a Senate-confirmed position.  I held this position from 2009-2016.  Presently, I serve on the board of directors of a publicly traded company and on the advisory boards of two financial technology start-ups.

 

Q - What is the value of being an MCA member?

A - Being an MCA member helps keep me informed about current and emerging issues in and affecting McLean.  It also provides an opportunity to inform the recommendations that MCA proposes.

 

Q - What were the key issues or reasons that you joined MCA?

A - I joined MCA because I wanted to know more about issues, particularly development issues, in and around the McLean area.  I also wanted to join the MCA Planning and Zoning
