GTCC Weighs In with Supervisors on WDU Rental Policy

The Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on February 23 to consider the revisions to the County's Plan Amendment guidance for Workforce Dwelling Unit rentals that were endorsed by the County Planning Commission.
The GTCC endorsed these revisions in a February 17 letter to the Board of Supervisors. The letter also called for community organizations, such as the GTCC, to have a seat at the table early on if the BOS agrees to the Planning Commission's Follow-on Motion "to explore additional incentives that could be considered for Workforce Dwelling Unit production, and to explore the suggested recommendations that could help reduce the cost of producing affordable units that may not already be available as part of the Board's authority". Such participation will help to ensure that views and concerns of the residents of McLean, Vienna and other surrounding communities are factored into the development of any recommendations.
