MCA Supports Amendment to Scotts Run Development.

CityLine Partners submitted an application to amend a previously approved application for development at the Scotts Run location off of Route 123, between Anderson and Colshire Road, and bordering South Dartford Drive.  The amendment would allow a mixed-use residential building with approximately 450,000 square feet of residential floor area and approximately 15,000 square feet of retail.  The building will be approximately 285 feet in 25 stories and comprised of approximately 447 residential units.  Consistent with previous approvals, the building will have retail on ground level, and parking podium and residential use above parking podium.  The MCA supported this amendment in a resolution passed by the MCA Board at its June 3, 2020 meeting.  Nonetheless, the MCA affirmed its desire for the applicant to provide for high quality public open space/streetscape designs consistent with previous CDP approvals by keeping underground utilities away from street intersections to allow for consistent street tree planting on South Dartford Drive.
