MCA recently announced a program to encourage residents of the McLean area to donate to Share, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, volunteer-based, organization that for more than 50 years has provided food and living assistance to local residents.  The MCA agreed to match donations, up to $1500, in order to help the poorest in our community, to give them food to eat and essential living expenses, at this time of pandemic and financial crisis.  At the June 3, 2020 MCA Board of Directors meeting, outgoing President Dale Stein announced that, not only had MCA met its goal of matching $1500 in donations, but that total contributions to Share, including the $1500 from MCA, had exceeded $9500.  “This was an important effort for MCA to be able to help those members of our community who are in the most dire financial straits, unable to afford food and/or pay rent, exacerbated by the virus and its ramifications," Mr. Stein stated.  "I thank the local residents who contributed to this worthwhile cause and members of the MCA for their support for this important charitable initiative.”
