Special Planning & Zoning Meeting Canceled at Request of Newport Academy Opponents

In response to the McLean community's concerns regarding the Newport Academy proposal for properties on Davidson Rd and Kurtz Rd, the McLean Citizens Association (MCA) Planning and Zoning Committee (P&Z) issued a statement offering to hold a special meeting in May focused on the relevant legal and zoning issues.
"P&Z reached out to representatives of opposed neighbors and to Newport Academy to determine their interest in participating in a meeting at which such legal issues would be discussed in a structured format. There does not, at this time, appear to be sufficient interest to hold such a meeting in May, although we will remain in touch with the possibility of holding such a meeting at a later time.
"The P&Z Committee has gathered some relevant case law and public documents, continues to follow the matter, and welcomes submission of relevant information in the interim. We will also await any information or decision from Fairfax
