On August 25, the McLean Citizens association sent Members its triannual Newsletter covering MCA activities during May-July 2017. The Newsletter provides a summary of the most significant recent events and issues affecting the McLean area, as reported by the MCA Committees that develop the Association's recommendations on taxes, Tysons development and other land-use proposals, traffic and transportation, Fairfax County Public Schools, Public Safety and other County services.
The current Newsletter reviews MCA perspectives on the Capital One Bank's proposed revisions to its approved development plans and commitments to provide community facilities; FCPS teacher retention; reform of the County's pension plans; resolution of the proposed Sunrise development on Kirby Road; efforts to mitigate cut-through traffic generated by Tysons development and Legion Bridge congestion, among many other issues.
