Representing the Interests of McLean Area Residents For Over a Century

The McLean Citizens Association (MCA) is a volunteer, non-governmental organization that has served since 1914
as an unofficial town council for the residents of the McLean Area, which has no governmental structure of its own.
MCA has provided a forum for McLean area residents to have a voice in resolving community problems and
          county-wide issues affecting the area.

MCA 2017 Spring/Summer Newsletter

Andrea DelVeccio, MCA Corresponding Secretary  | Published on 8/27/2017
On August 25, the McLean Citizens association sent Members its triannual Newsletter covering MCA activities during May-July 2017.  The Newsletter provides a summary of the most significant recent events and issues affecting the McLean area, as reported by the MCA Committees that develop the Association's recommendations on taxes, Tysons development and other land-use proposals, traffic and transportation, Fairfax County Public Schools, Public Safety and other County services.

The current Newsletter reviews MCA perspectives on the Capital One Bank's proposed revisions to its approved development plans and commitments to provide community facilities; FCPS teacher retention; reform of the County's pension plans; resolution of the proposed Sunrise development on Kirby Road; efforts to mitigate cut-through traffic generated by Tysons development and Legion Bridge congestion, among many other issues.

The current Newsletter is available in the Members-only area of our Document Library.  The Fall 2016 Newsletter is available to the public on this Website.
