MCA Members Invited to Join TSA on Richmond Bus Trip
The Tysons Stakeholders Alliance, one of the two major anti-casino grassroots organizations in our area, is organizing a bus trip down to Richmond to demonstrate the widespread opposition in Fairfax County to SB 756, which would allow a casino to be built in Tysons. The trip will take place this coming Tuesday, February 3rd.
There is a possibility that SB 756 will be debated at the Senate Finance & Appropriations Committee meeting on Tuesday, February 3, at 9:00 a.m., and the Alliance wants to make the widespread opposition to a Tysons casino clear to the legislators in the room.
The Alliance is extending an invitation to MCA members to join it for this trip to Richmond. The Alliance bus will be departing from the Greater Tysons area around 6:30 a.m. and returning in the afternoon. The Alliance has asked that anyone who would like to make the trip email the Alliance President, Paula Martino, directly at paula.martino@tysonsstakeholdersalliance.com. Additional logistical information will be provided to those who contact her.
