Actions Taken at the October 6, 2021, Board of Directors Meeting and Other News
 
MCA Board of Directors to Address the Fairfax County Strategic Plan
MCA Board of Directors tabled their plan to review and vote on a resolution on the approved Fairfax County Strategic Plan.  The Strategic Plan is a vision plan for County priorities for the next 10 to 20 years and includes strategies and metrics to advance and measure progress toward the vision over the initial period of the next 3 to 5 years. The Strategic Plan was approved by the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors on October 5, 2021.  The MCA Board will hold a special Board meeting on November 10 at 7:30 p.m. to discuss the approved plan.

Resilient Fairfax - Virtual Meeting on Fairfax County Climate Adaptation and Resilience Plan, Thursday October 14 at 6:30 p.m. 

Fairfax County’s Resilient Fairfax team is hosting a virtual public meeting on Thursday, October 14 at 6:30 PM where you can learn about where and how the county is vulnerable to climate impacts like flooding, extreme heat, strong storms, and share your thoughts on the county’s Climate Adaptation and Resilience Plan, which is currently in development.  Resilient Fairfax is the county’s formal effort to address climate adaptation and resilience and to reduce climate risks to county residents, businesses, and infrastructure.
