McLean-area voters!
As it has done for many years, the MCA will host a debate for local candidates on Wednesday, October 30, 2019, beginning at 7:30 p.m., in the McLean Community Center's Alden Theater. This debate will provide McLean area residents a meaningful opportunity to learn about candidates in critical races and to make a more informed voting decision in November.
There will be three 40-minute debates in the following order:
· House of Delegates (D 34) - Kathleen J. Murphy and Gary Pan
· Dranesville Supervisor - John Foust and Ed Martin
· Dranesville School Board Representative - Anastasia Karloutsos, Elaine Tholen, and Ardavan Mobasheri.
Current MCA members who check in with the MCA table at the debate will be given preferential seating in the first rows of the Theater. Please try to arrive no later than 7:15 to access preferential seating. (Not an MCA Member? Join now here.)
Additionally, MCA members who would like to suggest questions before the debate may email them to MCA First Vice-President Glenn Harris. Suggestions should provide a brief background for the question and indicate which of the debates the question is intended for. All suggested questions will be considered but there is no guarantee that the question will be used. The MCA is a non-partisan, politically objective organization so please be advised that overtly partisan questions will not be used at the debate. Thank you for your interest and suggestions.
