MCA Board of Directors to address the draft Fairfax County Strategic Plan

On September 1, 2021, the MCA Board of Directors was briefed on the draft Fairfax County Strategic Plan. The draft Strategic Plan is a first ever vision plan for County priorities for the next 10 to 20 years and will include strategies and metrics to advance and measure progress toward the vision over the initial period of the next 3 to 5 years. Based on community input, nine priority areas have been identified including: cultural and recreational opportunities; economic opportunity; effective and efficient government; empowerment and support for residents facing vulnerability; health and environment; housing and neighborhood livability; lifelong education and learning; mobility and transportation; and safety and security. MCA committees will review the draft Strategic Plan and prepare a resolution for consideration by the MCA Board of Directors at its next meeting scheduled for October 6, 2021 meeting. The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors will consider the draft Strategic Plan at a meeting in October, 2021.
